This is happen because default setting for SATA hard drive on ASUS P5RD1-VM is set to SATA RAID wherever your SATA hard drive is only one. And you can’t disable SATA RAID setting in the BIOS, even you have updated to the latest BIOS.

I think this is very weird mainboard that i’ve ever see, but you can fix this SATA RAID problem on ASUS P5RD1-VM with SATA RAID driver from ULi.

First, you must download ULi SATA RAID drivers  for ASUS P5RD1-VM here:

After you have downloaded this drivers, just copy into floppy disk or USB flash drive for future use. To install this driver when running Windows XP installation, press F6 when installation prompt for SATA RAID driver and you will be asked to insert floppy disk contains ULi SATA RAID drivers.

When installing Windows 7, if installation cannot detect any partition of your hard drive, you can click Load Driver and locate you ULi SATA RAID drivers in your floppy disk or USB flash drive. And finnaly Windows 7 installation can display every partition on you hard drive.

This problem can be solved easily with Javascript with onsubmit parameter to controll submit button and avoid submitted automatically by Barcode Reader. With this javascript, form will not submitted after retrieving the text from barcode and still in return to form.

This the Javascript function to stop the form after reading from Barcode Reader

and then you must add onsubmit parameter in the form element like this

The code above will still unable to press Submit button, because onsubmit parameter on the form always return to false.

Another version to prevent auto submit from Barcode Reader is convert the “ENTER” character into “TAB” character, so you don’t need to block ENTER command from Barcode Reader but it wil converted into TAB command.

The most used crontab under linux is for executing PHP script, but sometimes this crontab is not running well. Its happen because php CLI (Command Line Interface) is not installed in your file server.

You can test this php CLI command via console, by typing

php /var/www/some-script.php

and if php CLI not installed yet, you should get an error message like this

The program ‘php’ is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
apt-get install php5-cli
bash: php: command not found

To fix this you must install it first by typing ‘apt-get install php5-cli’ (without quotes). Wait until the process is done and you can run crontab to executing your PHP scripts.
